How To Get Shiny Keldeo & Shiny Meltan in Pokemon Home
Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later)! But be warned, obtaining these shiny Pokémon requires completing some significant in-game tasks.
Despite the challenge, acquiring a Shiny Keldeo is particularly rewarding. Previously unobtainable legitimately and Shiny-locked, this Legendary Pokémon can now be transferred to your other Pokémon games linked to your Home account, along with Shiny Meltan.
How to Get Shiny Keldeo in Pokémon Home

To obtain Shiny Keldeo, you must complete the Galar Pokédex. This includes Pokémon from Pokémon Sword & Shield, along with those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs (each with their own Pokédexes). Crucially, all Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark—a slanted Poké Ball logo above their stats—indicating they originated from Sword & Shield or its DLC. Simply completing the Pokédexes in Sword & Shield isn't enough.
Once the Galar Pokédex is complete, select the three-line menu icon, then choose “Mystery Gift” from the main menu to claim your Shiny Keldeo. There's no deadline, so take your time!
How to Get Shiny Meltan in Pokémon Home
Similarly, obtaining Shiny Meltan requires completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home using Pokémon from Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. These Pokémon must have the Let’s Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above their stats) to count. After completion, claim your Shiny Meltan via the Mystery Gift option.
Like Keldeo, there's no time limit to claim Shiny Meltan.
Pokémon Home Pokédex Not Registering?
Some mobile users experience Pokédex registration issues. To resolve this, clear your Pokémon Home app cache:
- Open the app and select the three-line menu icon in the top-right corner.
- Choose “Clear Cache.”
- Confirm by tapping “OK.”
You'll receive confirmation that the cache has been cleared. This should resolve any Pokédex registration problems.
Now that you know how to get Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan, go forth and conquer!
