Shiny Pokémon Coming Soon to Pokémon TCG Pocket!
Exciting news for fans of Pokémon TCG Pocket: the digital card game is set to dazzle with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon through the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion. The Pokémon Company has confirmed that these sparkling versions of popular cards will add a new layer of excitement to the game.
When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, when the Shining Revelry expansion will launch. This update brings over 110 new cards to the game, including Shiny versions of fan favorites such as Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. These Shiny cards will literally shimmer when tilted in the digital format, enhancing your gaming experience. Starting April 1st, you can also get your hands on a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder.
In addition to the Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, will be featured in new cards. From March 28th to April 27th, players can participate in new ex Starter Deck missions. Completing these missions will reward you with a deck ticket, which you can exchange for one of nine starter decks. Don't miss out on your chance to see the first batch of Shiny Pokémon in action!
Shiny Pokémon have a storied history in the Pokémon TCG, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of games. The Hidden Fates set later set the benchmark for modern Shiny cards with its extensive Shiny Vault.
Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!
Get ready for competitive action as ranked matches are set to launch in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The inaugural season will start on March 28th and continue until April 27th, incorporating the new Shining Revelry cards. You'll be matched with players of similar skill levels, ensuring a fair and thrilling competition. At the end of the season, showcase your prowess with an emblem on your profile, reflecting your final rank.
