The new year in Pokemon GO is brimming with exciting new Pokemon additions! Following Fidough's arrival, trainers can now obtain Shroodle, but unlike many previous releases, acquiring it isn't straightforward.

Shroodle's Pokemon GO Debut

The Poison-type Shroodle makes its Pokemon GO debut on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally from Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, this relatively new Pokemon will remain available after the event concludes.

Shiny Shroodle?

At launch, Shroodle will not have a Shiny variant in Pokemon GO. Expect its Shiny form to appear in a future event, possibly one focused on Poison-types or Team GO Rocket.

How to Catch Shroodle

12KM Eggs collected from January 15th onward (12 AM local time) have a chance of containing Shroodle. While its hatch rate is likely higher during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, it should remain in the 12KM egg pool afterwards.

Obtaining 12KM Eggs

Since Shroodle is exclusively found in 12KM Eggs, here's a quick reminder on how to obtain them:

Defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event is ideal for stocking up on 12KM Eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and easier Rocket Radar acquisition. However, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts to challenge the Leaders at any time, provided you have inventory space for an egg.

Grafaiai Acquisition

Evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candy, necessitating hatching multiple Shroodle or using it as your buddy Pokemon.
