The initial speculation, involving a cake image and rumors of an ARG or Nintendo Switch 2 announcement, ultimately proved false. A YouTuber, fireb0rn, confirmed this directly with Griffin.

A Long-Awaited Sequel

Initially announced in February 2019 with a projected release in the first half of 2023, Silksong was delayed in May 2023 due to its expanded scope and the developers' desire for further refinement. The game promises a new kingdom, nearly 150 new enemies, and a challenging "Silk Soul" mode. While the delay has caused some fan frustration, Griffin's confirmation offers a renewed sense of hope.
