Electronic Arts recently hosted a livestream to hype up the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise, unveiling a plethora of gifts and in-game events planned for The Sims 4 players.

The festivities have already begun with a new update addressing various bugs, boasting a redesigned main menu, and improved game optimization. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have received a much-needed renovation. These updated homes are automatically available for new games, while existing saves can access them via the in-game library.

The main anniversary celebration launches February 4th, bringing over 70 free items to The Sims 4! That same day, a new in-game event, "Blast from the Past," will commence. Players can unlock retro-themed items and collect a new set by completing a series of simple challenges.

Furthermore, a new season titled "Motherlode" will begin in The Sims 4 on February 6th. While specifics remain undisclosed, anticipation is high for this exciting new addition.
