Unlike the anticipated but unrealized Sonic Mania sequel, Sonic Galactic embraces the pixel art style, offering a refreshing alternative to the 3D graphics of Sonic Superstars. This fan-made project, initially showcased at the 2020 Sonic Amateur Games Expo, has been in development for at least four years. It imagines a hypothetical 32-bit Sonic game, potentially akin to a Sega Saturn release.
