Sonic Rumble Launches Beta Ahead of Global Rollout
Remember Sonic Rumble? This upcoming Sonic game swaps high-speed chases for chaotic, Fall Guys-style party mayhem featuring Sonic and friends. Following a May closed beta test (CBT), Sonic Rumble is gearing up for a phased pre-launch rollout.
Sonic Rumble's Phased Pre-Launch
SEGA has initiated the first phase of the Sonic Rumble pre-launch, exclusively in the Philippines on Android and iOS. This phase continues throughout the summer, after which all gameplay data will be reset. Phase 2, launching in the fall, expands the pre-launch to Peru and Colombia. Further regions will be added in Phase 3, with details to be announced later. Global pre-registration is planned for late 2023 or early 2024. The timing suggests a strategic move to capitalize on the success of Fall Guys.
Gameplay Overview
Sonic Rumble mirrors the frantic fun of Stumble Guys and Fall Guys, featuring a series of mini-games packed with zany obstacles and challenges. Players can compete solo or team up with friends. However, Sonic Rumble adds a unique twist: classic Sonic villains, such as Dr. Eggman, make appearances to disrupt the gameplay, adding an extra layer of unpredictable chaos to the obstacle-dodging action.
