Space Marine 2 Anniversary Update: Year Two Content Confirmed
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is celebrating its first year with the fury of an Ultramarine—bolter in hand and Chaos in its sights. As the game hits this major milestone, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment are doubling down on long-term support, confirming a massive September update and a full second year of content rolling into 2026.
Space Marine 2’s Anniversary Update and Year 2 Roadmap Revealed
New PvP Modes, PvE Missions, Weapons, Enemies, and the Techmarine Class
Mark your calendars—Update 10.0, launching in September, is set to be the most ambitious patch yet. Dubbed a “large-scale update,” it will serve as the centerpiece of the game’s anniversary celebration and introduce a wave of new content for both PvE and PvP players.
While Update 9.0 (arriving this summer) will focus primarily on balance adjustments and quality-of-life improvements, the real fireworks begin in September. That’s when Saber and Focus plan to roll out:
- A brand-new PvP mode – This time, it’s Chaos vs. Chaos on a fresh map, diverging from the traditional Loyalist vs. Chaos format. Players will take control of corrupted forces in a brutal new competitive environment.
- Helbrute gameplay – For the first time, you’ll be able to play as one of the game’s most fearsome boss enemies. Expect devastating melee combat, new Chaos armor sets, and a fully animated Power Axe with unique execution moves.
- The Techmarine class – A fan-favorite from Warhammer 40k lore, the Techmarine is expected to bring engineering and battlefield support mechanics to both PvE and PvP. Think repair abilities, turret enhancements, and tactical utility—perfect for holding the line against overwhelming odds.
Though full details remain under wraps, Saber Interactive promises more information in upcoming community updates scheduled for July and August. These posts will likely include gameplay previews, balance notes, and deeper dives into the new class and PvP mechanics.
The studio has also officially confirmed Year 2 of content, ensuring players won’t run out of missions, weapons, or mayhem anytime soon. The new season pass will continue the successful model from Year 1, blending free updates with premium DLC—no extra cost for ongoing expansion.
This extended roadmap comes as development begins on Space Marine 3, proving Saber and Focus are committed to supporting the current title while building the next chapter in the series.
Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming months. Whether you're storming enemy lines in PvE or crushing fellow Traitors in the new Chaos PvP mode, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is far from done delivering the Emperor’s justice.
