Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Disney+ animated series focusing on Peter Parker's first year in high school, has been renewed for both Season 2 and Season 3, showcasing Marvel's strong confidence in the project.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, shared exciting updates on The Movie Podcast. He revealed that despite Season 1 not premiering until January 29, the scripts for Season 2 are already complete, and half of its animated storyboards are finished. Furthermore, Season 3 has also been greenlit, indicating a long-term vision for the series.

Winderbaum expressed his deep connection to the characters, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics. What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off." He emphasized the emotional payoff that fans can expect, noting, "And you feel it in Season 1. You grow connected to these characters so that when everything starts to lock into place and pay off by the end of the season. I feel it in my very soul and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

In a few weeks, Winderbaum is set to meet with Trammell to discuss the pitch for Season 3, although no specific release dates were mentioned for either Season 2 or Season 3.

The series chronicles Peter Parker's journey as he navigates his first year of high school while discovering his superpowers. It remains to be seen whether future seasons will follow his subsequent school years or continue to explore his freshman year adventures.
