Saber Interactive has firmly stated that all of their previously announced projects are still in active development, even amidst the quiet surrounding major titles like the highly anticipated Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) remake. In the wake of revealing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3, Saber's Chief Creative Officer, Tim Willits, took to Twitter to assure fans that the studio is diligently working on everything they've promised.

"Saber Interactive stands as one of the largest independent developers globally," Willits emphasized. "Our team is tirelessly crafting a diverse array of games spanning multiple genres. Rest assured, every project we've announced remains in development. We'll unveil more about our upcoming titles when the time is right and we have exciting news to share."

The spotlight inevitably turns to the KOTOR remake, a project shrouded in mystery since its announcement in 2021. Despite undergoing multiple studio transitions, apparent halts, and restarts, the remake has yet to surface after four years. However, in April 2024, Saber Interactive's CEO, Matthew Karch, confirmed that the KOTOR project was transferred to Saber during their separation from Embracer Group and remains in active development.

"It's no secret that we're pouring our hearts into this," Karch stated at the time. "The project has been widely discussed in the media. What I can assure you is that the game is thriving, and we're committed to surpassing what fans expect."

Willits' recent statement, nearly a year after Karch's, reaffirms this commitment. Yet, despite these assurances, fans are still awaiting any glimpse of the KOTOR remake beyond its initial teaser.

In addition to the KOTOR remake, Saber Interactive has a robust lineup of other games in development, with some slated for release in 2025, including John Carpenter's Toxic Commando and Jurassic Park Survival, though specific release dates are yet to be announced. The studio is also working on a new Turok game and an untitled Avatar: The Last Airbender project.

The announcement of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 3 adds another title to their burgeoning portfolio. For more details on what to expect from Space Marine 3, including potential chapters and enemy factions, be sure to check out IGN’s comprehensive coverage.
