How To Get the Star-Lord Skin Free in Marvel Rivals’ Fortune & Colors Event

Just like the Winter Celebration, you'll need to earn a special in-game currency to make progress in the Fortune & Colors event. This time, it's called Danqing, symbolized by a paintbrush and a container of red paint. To get your hands on Danqing, you'll need to dive into the event challenges in the new game mode, Clash of Dancing Lions, as well as in Quick Play and Competitive.

While the base challenges will shift, the event-specific ones remain constant. Here's a rundown of the Fortune & Colors quests released so far:

• Complete 3 Clash of Dancing Lions matches
• Intercept the ball 3 times in a single Clash of Dancing Lions match

Once you've earned some Danqing, you can head over to the event pass and start unlocking goodies. To claim the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin for free, you'll need to accumulate 900 Danqing. That might seem like a hefty amount, but with the event running until February 14th, there's plenty of time to complete enough challenges to unlock that coveted skin.

How To Play With the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane Skin Without Unlocking It in Marvel Rivals

If grinding isn't your thing but you still want to give the Star-Lord Lion’s Mane skin a spin, there's a workaround. The Clash of Dancing Lions mode, reminiscent of Rocket League but with a superhero flair, restricts players to three characters: Star-Lord, Black Widow, and Iron Fist. Each of these heroes sports a Spring Festival skin, allowing you to try them out in the new mode.

If the mode wins you over and you decide you want all three skins permanently, head to the in-game store. The Dancing Lions bundle, which includes the Iron Fist Lion’s Gaze skin and the Black Widow Lion’s Heartbeat skin, is available for 2,800 Units, roughly $20. Considering the individual skins are priced similarly, it's a solid deal.
