While Split Fiction boasts a primarily linear co-op adventure, it cleverly incorporates numerous optional Side Stories, offering some of the game's most memorable moments. While not essential to the main storyline, these detours are highly recommended. Here's how to find them all.

Chapters 2 through 5 each contain three Side Stories, totaling twelve in all. These optional adventures feature unique scenarios, such as transforming into pigs or participating in a deadly game show. Completing all twelve unlocks an achievement, ensuring you experience everything Split Fiction offers.

Finding All Side Stories in Split Fiction

Chapter 2:

• Legend of the Sandfish: This Side Story naturally unfolds after completing the "Rush Hour" section. It's impossible to miss.
• Farmlife: Located in the "Streets of Neon" section, after crossing a small barrier, before reaching the elevators on the left.
• Mountain Hike: Found in the "Big City Life" section. Reach the Port-A-Potties, have Mio enter one, and use Zoe to throw her to the opposite ledge with a ladder. Have Mio drop the ladder for access.

Chapter 3:

• Train Heist: In the "Lord Evergreen" section, while navigating the water on a plank, locate the ledge accessible via wall-running.
• Gameshow: Found in the "Walking Sticks of Doom" section, on a platform after the side-scrolling sequence; requires minor platforming.
• Collapsing Star: Located in the "Halls of Ice" section, on the main path through the palace; it's hard to miss.

Chapter 4:

• Kites: Found at the end of the long tube in the "Toxic Tumblers" section.
• Moon Market: In the "Test Chamber" section, after the crane sequence, it's on a ledge to the left, requiring some platforming.
• Notebook: The final Chapter 4 Side Story, located in the "Soaring Desperados" section. After acquiring the jetpack, avoid the giant wheel and hover to the left side of the room.

Chapter 5:

• Slopes of War: Found in the "Water Temple" section. After hatching your dragons, solve the lever puzzle to the left of the golden balls.
• Space Escape: Located in the "Craft Temple" section. After defeating the dragon, use Mio's glide and Zoe's roll to reach the ledge, then have Mio drop a column for Zoe to climb.
• Birthday Cake: The final Side Story, in the "Treasure Temple" section. It appears to the left after completing the soul puzzle.

Completing all twelve Side Stories automatically unlocks the "Bookworms" achievement.
