  • Season 4 Episode 8 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
  • Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's servers will remain online, but no new content will be developed after the January 14 patch.

Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has rolled out Season 4 Episode 8, marking the game's final major content update. Initially released in February 2024 to mixed reviews, the game's support will conclude with the patch available from January 14, which can now be downloaded on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Despite its promising premise, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League struggled to maintain player interest due to its unexpected live-service model. Just 10 months after its launch, Rocksteady announced on December 9, 2024, that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the end of new content for the game. However, the studio assured fans that all online features would remain accessible, allowing players to continue enjoying the game with friends.

Following a brief server maintenance period, the final content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now live. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can dive into Season 4 Episode 8: Balance, which introduces an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, a range of powerful Notorious weapons, and a climactic new Mayhem mission against Brainiac. The update also includes significant bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.

Even after the release of Season 4 Episode 8, the game's servers will continue to operate. Thanks to the offline mode introduced in Season 4 Episode 7, players can experience the full range of content, including the main campaign and all seasonal story missions, without an internet connection. Although Rocksteady hasn't planned a complete server shutdown, the offline mode ensures fans can keep playing indefinitely.

For those who missed out on the game during its brief run, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3. Subscribers can also enjoy The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Explore the medieval Elseworld further in Episode 8: Balance, with new twists on familiar locations and entirely new areas to discover. Challenge yourself at The Quarry, a fortified citadel that you must conquer to defeat Brainiac. The Arena offers a thrilling venue for jousting or interdimensional battles, while the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van evoke the spirit of chivalry and honor.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

Episode 8's Infamy Set draws inspiration from Libra, a formidable DC Super-Villain with a fixation on balance. The set's unique mechanic, Scales of Libra, increases both the damage enemies deal and receive by 50% per stack, promoting a daring and dynamic playstyle.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

Complementing Libra's Infamy Set are three standout weapons:

  • The Silencer's Complete Silence: These weapons deliver a 200% damage bonus to enemies affected by Scales of Libra. The Alt-Fire mode unleashes a 1,000% damage boost and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100% and providing excellent crowd control.

  • Doctor Sivana's Magic Bullets: These bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and may electrify targets. Strategic positioning can lead to devastating multi-enemy takedowns.

  • Chronos' Equilibrium: This weapon enhances damage output by 25% for every 1% of missing Shield, encouraging a high-risk, high-reward combat approach.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • Adjusted the duration of Deathstroke's Suicide Strike to align with other characters.
  • Lowered the XP requirements for Squad Levels, with retroactive rewards for previously earned XP. Players may see an increase in Squad Levels and additional Squad Points to spend after updating to Episode 8.

BUG FIXES

  • Resolved an issue in Japan where LuthorCoin expired prematurely.
  • Corrected a problem with the Raising Hell Playlist not updating outside of Episode 7.
  • Fixed bonus XP not being awarded for Critical Kills and kills of Infused enemies.
  • Addressed a bug preventing B-Technology Resources from being awarded after certain missions.
  • Corrected the Leaderboards to properly register new personal bests in Killing Time.
  • Fixed incorrect kill counter values in the Episode 7 Mayhem Mission.
  • Prevented Lootinauts from disappearing when the host they were hiding in was killed.
