Summer Game Fest is a two-hour live showcase, delivering fresh updates from the gaming world’s most iconic titles and introducing new releases set to dominate the rest of the year. Hosted and organized by journalist Geoff Keighley, Summer Game Fest 2025 is scheduled Friday, June 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. GMT, and will be held at the YouTube Theater in Hollywood Park, Los Angeles.

No Official Silksong News Despite Recent Hints

It's become an industry meme by now, but fans of Hollow Knight should keep expectations in check—there's no clear sign that Silksong will appear at Summer Game Fest 2025.

Despite a brief teaser in Nintendo's April 2025 Direct and a subtle update to the official game site, Team Cherry has kept completely silent on the much-anticipated sequel. Over the past few years, hopes have soared and crashed at each major showcase, making Silksong's absence a familiar—if disappointing—trend. For now, it seems likely the wait will continue, and so will the meme.

The Outer Worlds 2 Gets Its Own Spotlight

First unveiled with a cheeky trailer at E3 2021—playfully poking fun at The Elder Scrolls VI—The Outer Worlds 2 is finally stepping back into the limelight. Obsidian Entertainment’s sci-fi RPG sequel will have its own dedicated segment right after the Xbox Games Showcase on Day 3 of Summer Game Fest 2025.

Though specific details are still under wraps, anticipation is high. Players are looking forward to deeper insights into gameplay systems, story details, and hopefully an expanded trailer following the short teaser at The Game Awards 2024.

Confirmed Publishers and Prominent Titles Already Set
