HoYoverse has just unveiled an exciting new update for Tears of Themis titled the Ballad of the Dunes. This update comes with a special collaboration event alongside Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism, merging the allure of detective work with the vibrant heritage of Dunhuang, a city on the edge of the Gobi Desert in China.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The Ballad of the Dunes event weaves together history, romance, and mystery amidst the timeless sands of the Silk Road. Players will embark on solving intriguing mysteries enveloped in the ancient atmosphere of Dunhuang. Here's a rundown of the fresh content introduced with this event:

The event introduces four new MR cards, each showcasing Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius, adorned with elements inspired by Dunhuang's rich culture. Expect to see motifs like flying apsaras, detailed murals, and the iconic pipa played in the traditional behind-the-back style, reminiscent of the ancient performers immortalized in the Mogao Caves. This update brings the historic Silk Road's essence, which thrived during the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), into the digital realm of Tears of Themis.

Each card offers a unique narrative: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." These cards are accompanied by Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a millennium.

What Are the Rewards?

From February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other valuable rewards by completing event tasks. The main challenge is a fun game of flipping cells on a board to reveal hidden treasures.

The grand prize for this event in Tears of Themis is a pack of the Ballad of the Dunes MR cards. Participants can choose one of the four MR cards as their final reward in each round. Successfully flipping 100 cells grants you the exclusive Celebration – Dunes Namecard.
