Techland Expands Dying Light 2 with Free Tower Raid Roguelite Mode
Techland expands the Dying Light 2 experience with Tower Raid, a thrilling roguelite mode offering unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges. Following extensive testing, this highly anticipated mode is now live, providing a completely new way to navigate the infected world.
Forget Aiden Caldwell; in Tower Raid, you choose from four unique warrior archetypes: Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist. Each class boasts distinct abilities, encouraging diverse playstyles and strategic teamwork. For those seeking the ultimate test, Tower Raid allows solo play or smaller team sizes.
Three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—cater to varying skill levels, impacting run intensity and length. The procedurally generated tower ensures every playthrough is unique, with shifting layouts and unpredictable enemy encounters demanding adaptability and quick thinking.
Defeat isn't the end; a new progression system transforms failures into opportunities. Each attempt unlocks abilities and weapons, steadily increasing your chances of success. At the tower's heart lies Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards like the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to worthy survivors.
Even with the upcoming release of Dying Light: The Beast, Techland's commitment to Dying Light 2 continues throughout 2025. Future updates promise enhanced co-op, refined matchmaking, deeper community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a whole new weapon class, prologue improvements, and significant graphical and technical optimizations.
