Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action brawler, formerly known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back with a new name and release date! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this game is set to launch in 2025, with a pre-alpha test scheduled for January.

Based on the popular webcomic, The Hidden Ones plunges players into the world of young martial artist Zhang Chulan, whose grandfather's martial arts techniques attract unwanted attention from the world of competitive martial arts.

The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) showcases impressive 3D brawling, parkour, energy projectile attacks, and the introduction of secondary protagonist Wang Ye. The game boasts a gritty, realistic aesthetic that sets it apart from other 3D ARPGs.

A Hidden Gem Emerges

Finding information on The Hidden Ones has been challenging, given the numerous title changes. However, initial impressions suggest a compelling and visually stunning game. The darker, more grounded aesthetic is a welcome departure from the typical 3D ARPG fare.

The game's success will depend on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material. In the meantime, fans of kung-fu action can explore other top brawlers on the market. Check out our list of the top 25 best fighting games for iOS and Android to tide you over!
