Toaplan Launches 25 Classic Arcade Games on Mobile
If you're a fan of classic shoot 'em ups, you'll definitely want to explore the new app from Tatsujin, the game publishing studio founded by Masahiro Yuge, a legend from Toaplan. Toaplan, a pioneering Japanese game developer established in 1979, was renowned for its arcade shooters, and their influence can be seen in many games today.
Celebrating 40 years of Toaplan's legacy, Tatsujin has released Amusement Arcade Toaplan on Android. This mobile collection brings 25 authentic arcade classics to your fingertips, just as they were originally played in arcades.
Will You Play Amusement Arcade Toaplan?
The standout title in this collection is the legendary shoot 'em up, Truxton (1988), which you can enjoy for free. Additionally, you can try demo versions of five other games: Tiger Heli, Wardner, Flying Shark, Snow Bros, and Teki-Paki. If you find yourself hooked, you have the option to purchase the full versions of these games.
The collection also includes Truxton II, Snow Bros. 2, Guardian, Slap Fight/Alcon, Twin Cobra, Rally Bike, Hellfire, Twin Hawk, Demon’s World, Zero Wing, Fire Shark, Out Zone, Vimana, Ghox, Fixeight, Dogyuun, Grind Stormer, Knuckle Bash, and Batsugun. Each of these titles is available for individual purchase.
You can play using fully customizable touchscreen controls or connect a controller or arcade stick via Bluetooth. For a closer look at what Amusement Arcade Toaplan offers, check out the trailer below.
It’s Your Virtual Arcade
Amusement Arcade Toaplan allows you to create your own virtual arcade. Each game you download appears as a mini arcade machine, which you can arrange as you see fit. You can also decorate your space with chairs, potted plants, and even beds.
For an authentic retro experience, the app offers visual filters to replicate the classic CRT look. You can also adjust settings for difficulty, extra lives, and even enable an invincibility mode to enjoy the games without the fear of losing. If you're a fan of retro arcade gaming, don't miss out on this collection available on the Google Play Store.
