TOEM: Photo Adventure Hits Android, iOS Launch Imminent
- Toem: A Photo Adventure is now available in early access on Android
- It's slated to arrive later on iOS and is focused on perspective-shifting puzzles
- Journey as a novice photographer trying to get to a mountain and witness the mysterious Toem
Perspective is everything—and that statement has never been more accurate than with the award-winning puzzle game Toem: A Photo Adventure. Now available in early access on Android and coming soon to iOS, Toem offers a surprisingly heartfelt adventure despite its monochromatic art style.
You play as an aspiring photographer on a quest to climb a mountain and witness a rare event called, as you might have guessed, Toem. Along the way, you'll explore Scandinavian-inspired scenery and settlements, meeting and befriending a host of characters as you go.
Your mission is to assist these characters and unlock pathways to new destinations. One example is using your camera to scare away pesky birds bothering a ferry operator so he can take you across the water. Even when not solving puzzles, the minimalist black-and-white visuals frame surprisingly detailed and feature-rich environments.

Photo Finish
Toem is a clear example of Scandinavian-inspired laid-back design, created by the Swedish studio Something We Made. After earning numerous accolades, awards, and critical acclaim on other platforms, it's a natural next step to bring the game to mobile devices.
As expected, the popular try-before-you-buy approach is also featured here—you can explore a portion of Toem to see if it captures your interest. With its quirky characters, soothing settings and soundtrack, plus an abundance of hidden secrets and details that place it just behind Labyrinth City in richness, it's hard to imagine why you wouldn't want to give it a try.
