Tony Hawk Insists Bam Margera Joins THPS 3+4

Bam Margera, the renowned former professional skateboarder and Jackass star, is set to make a surprising return to the roster of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, despite not being initially included. This exciting news was revealed by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during an exclusive members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

According to Bagley, the game was already complete when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision, insisting on Margera's inclusion. Despite being initially told it couldn't be done, Hawk's persistence paid off, showcasing his unwavering support for Margera. IGN has reached out to Activision for an official statement on this development.

Margera's journey has been tumultuous, marked by well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, multiple rehab stints, and his dismissal from Jackass Forever. Additionally, he was involved in a legal dispute with Jackass director Jeff Tremaine, who obtained a restraining order against Margera following alleged threats to Tremaine and his family.

Recent sightings of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together had already sparked rumors of Margera's potential return to the game. These speculations are now confirmed, much to the delight of fans.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, announced earlier this month, is slated for release on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, this project has resiliently overcome challenges, including the scrapping of earlier versions following Activision's merger of the previous series developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard.
