Unlock All Characters in Hyper Light Breaker: A Guide
Hyper Light Breaker offers a dynamic gameplay experience with a diverse roster of characters, known as Breakers, each designed to combat the formidable Abyss King with their unique abilities and playstyles. Unlocking new characters is straightforward, yet the game leaves players to discover the method themselves. This guide aims to clarify how to unlock new Breakers and provide an overview of the characters available in the early access version of Hyper Light Breaker, which currently features two unlockable characters. We will continue to update this guide as more Breakers become available.
How to Get New Characters in Hyper Light Breaker

Unlocking new characters in Hyper Light Breaker requires Abyss Stones, which are obtained by defeating Crowns, the game's bosses. To reach these bosses, you must first collect Prisms, which serve as keys to the boss arenas. Prisms are located on the map and can be found by following the golden diamond icon.
After defeating a Crown, return to the Cursed Outpost via the teleporter. Here, you can choose which Breaker to unlock using your Abyss Stones. While there are nine characters in total, only two are currently unlockable in the early access version. The method for unlocking future characters remains to be seen.
All Characters in Hyper Light Breaker

Each character in Hyper Light Breaker comes equipped with a SyCom, an essential item that defines their base stats and core perk, thus shaping their playstyle. Understanding these can help you choose the best Breaker for your preferred gameplay.
Vermillion

Vermillion is the initial character players encounter, equipped with the Gunslinger SyCom, which enhances ranged combat capabilities. His Rail shots have a unique ability where a critical hit guarantees the next shot will also be a critical hit. For those who favor melee combat, Vermillion can unlock the Tank SyCom, which boosts armor upon perfect parries and offers superior defensive and melee stats compared to Gunslinger.
Lapis

Lapis starts with the Lightweaver SyCom, focusing on Rail-oriented combat, where her damage increases after collecting a Battery. Her standout feature is the Warrior SyCom, which enhances her core stats with each upgrade, making her progressively more powerful and potentially outstripping other Breakers in terms of raw stats.
Goro

Goro is tailored for ranged combat, equipped with the Astrologer SyCom that accelerates Blade skill charging while shooting, and the Sniper SyCom, which increases his critical hit rate. As a ranged glass cannon, Goro offers high damage potential but lacks defensive options, making him a challenging yet rewarding choice for players who master his playstyle.
