Unlocking the True Shu Ending in Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Dynasty Warriors: Origins offers three distinct campaigns, each boasting a hidden true ending. This guide details how to unlock the true ending for Liu Bei's Shu faction.
To begin, complete the Shu campaign. This unlocks replayability of past stages. Look for a gold banner next to "The Battle of Changban"—this signifies an alternate ending. Traditionally, this stage involves escorting Liu Bei while Zhang Fei defends the bridge. However, for the true ending, you must defeat Cao Cao instead of simply ensuring Liu Bei's escape.

Reduce Difficulty: Select "Historian" mode. The sheer number of enemies makes this a difficult task at higher difficulties.

Strategic Partner: Choose Zhang Fei as your partner. This provides a closer starting position to Cao Cao's forces, saving valuable time.
Prepare your Musou Rage gauge. Cao Cao will deploy two Grand Tactics: one requiring two officer kills, the other demanding 250 soldier defeats. Twin pikes are recommended for efficient soldier elimination. Once his army is routed, defeating Cao Cao should be manageable. A few additional missions follow before the true Shu ending is revealed.
