Every so often, League of Legends (LoL) introduces a new minigame available for a limited time. The latest addition is the Demon’s Hand card game, where knowing how to obtain Sigils can help you progress more smoothly.

What Are Sigils in the Demon’s Hand in LoL?

Sigils are small stones that grant you bonuses in the Demon’s Hand. You can have up to six Sigils active at once, each with unique effects that make it easier to defeat opponents and advance through the minigame. These effects either enhance the hands you play or weaken your opponent to help you preserve your health. Sigil effects activate automatically when you play a hand that triggers them.

When you’re on the map and examining your next adversary, you might notice they have a special effect on the game. Often, these effects relate to your cards—like preventing a suit’s number value from adding to damage when played, or reducing damage if you play fewer than a set number of cards.

Some opponents, however, have special effects that directly affect your Sigils. Typically, this means the first Sigil in your box becomes inactive. That means the Sigil in the top slot on the right side won’t activate during that battle. To avoid losing a key advantage, consider rearranging your Sigils before engaging, ensuring the one that gets disabled isn’t essential for your damage output.

How To Get Sigils in the Demon’s Hand in LoL

Screenshot by The Escapist Sigils are straightforward to acquire. You buy them from the Sigil Shop. On the map, the Sigil Shop appears as two coins. Stopping there gives you a choice of three Sigils, each differing in power and cost. If you have enough currency and don’t like the options, you can refresh the shop for one coin to see a new selection. You can also sell unwanted Sigils at the shop—useful if your box is full and you want to swap one out for a new one.
