Unlocking the Fire Seal: A Guide for Fields of Mistria

Apr 18,25

Following the exciting March 10 update in *Fields of Mistria*, players can now venture to unlock the coveted Fire Seal after successfully clearing the preceding altars. To break the seal, you'll need to gather four specific items: a Faceted Rock Gem, Rockroot, an Emerald, and a Sealing Scroll. Here's a detailed guide on how to obtain each item and ultimately unlock the Fire Seal.

The Faceted Rock Gem, a rare artifact, is hidden within the mines of *Fields of Mistria*. Ensure you're running the latest game version, then navigate through the mines until you reach Floors 50-59. We discovered the gem on Floor 56 after some diligent digging. To unearth this treasure, use your pickaxe or shovel on the marked spots on the ground. Be prepared for a bit of a grind, as the Faceted Rock Gem isn't an easy find.

Rockroot, a common forageable, can be found between Floors 50-59 in the mines. If you're a regular miner, chances are you've already stumbled upon this dark, root-like plant. If not, keep an eye out for it as you explore. You'll only need one Rockroot to satisfy the Priestess' altar requirements.

Where to Find Emerald in Fields of Mistria

Emeralds are the easiest of the four items to acquire. You can find Emerald geodes scattered throughout Floors 50-59 in the mines. They're quite common, so you should have no trouble collecting what you need. Alternatively, you can break large boulders around Mistria to find them or purchase them at Balor's Wagon for just 200 tesserae. If you've unlocked the new Stone Refinery with the March 2025 update, crafting your own Emeralds is another viable option.

The Sealing Scroll, the final piece of the puzzle, is obtained through a quest that starts after you meet Juniper and discover the Fire Seal. You'll need to enlist Balor's help to acquire the scroll, but it won't come cheap. To secure the Sealing Scroll, you must provide:

  • x10 Silver Ingots
  • x10 Rubies
  • x10 Sapphires
  • x10 Emeralds

If you're short on any of these items, the mines are a good place to search. Once you've gathered everything, deposit them in the bin by Balor's Wagon to receive your Sealing Scroll.

Unlocking the Fire Seal

With the Sealing Scroll, Faceted Rock Gem, Emerald, and Rockroot in your inventory, return to Floor 60 of the mines to make your offering. This will unlock the Fire Seal, granting access to a new biome and much more during the game's Early Access phase.
