"Unlocking the Signal Redirector in Atomfall: A Guide"
In the post-apocalyptic world of *Atomfall*, certain items can be game-changers, and the Signal Redirector is one such crucial tool. Obtaining it is challenging, but this guide will walk you through the process step-by-step.
Where to Find the Signal Redirector in Atomfall
The Signal Redirector isn't something you'll stumble upon easily. Unlike the Metal Detector, you won't find it for sale or on a random corpse. It's hidden in a specific location connected to one of the game's main characters, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.
Your journey starts in Wyndham Village, where you'll pick up a lead on Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. You'll need to embark on a rescue mission to the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor, where she's being held captive deep within the facility.
Reaching Skethermoor is no small feat, as it's teeming with Protocol soldiers. To ease your infiltration, consider meeting Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village. By helping him with tasks like recovering stolen items, you can gain favor with Protocol, making your journey smoother.
Once prepared, head to the Protocol prison camp on the southern edge of Skethermoor. The entrance to the underground prison is at the end of the southernmost road, marked by a large green door.
Navigating the prison involves progressing through multiple levels while evading or confronting guards and robots. Remember, B.A.R.D robots can be disabled to obtain **Atomic Batteries**, essential for The Interchange.
Reach the bottom level, past the dig site, to find Dr. Garrow locked in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, located in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Upon acquiring it, you'll earn the **'Reverse the Polarity' trophy/achievement**.
How to Use the Signal Redirector in Atomfall
The Signal Redirector, a hacking tool developed by Dr. Garrow, allows you to reroute power in yellow junction boxes to different sources. This capability is crucial for disabling security systems and accessing locked areas.
Similar to the Metal Detector, the Signal Redirector will ping an icon at the bottom of your screen when you're near a hackable junction box. Follow the device's needle to locate it, and once close enough, the junction box will be highlighted.
Use the 'Hack' button to reroute the power. If necessary, you can reverse the process by hacking the junction box again.
Utilizing the Signal Redirector will help you free Dr. Garrow, allowing you to continue her storyline if you choose to escape with her.
This guide covers how to obtain and use the Signal Redirector in *Atomfall*. For more tips and tricks, including how to redeem your pre-order bonuses, be sure to explore our other content on the game.
