Uno! Mobile and other titles receive Beyond Color update

Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the Beyond Colors update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks to Phase 10: World Tour, Uno! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile.

Instead of relying on traditional color cues, the new decks utilize distinct shapes—squares, triangles, circles, and stars—to represent the colors red, blue, green, and yellow, respectively. This innovative approach ensures colorblind players can easily differentiate between cards.

The development of these inclusive decks involved collaboration with colorblind gamers, guaranteeing intuitive symbol usage consistent across all three titles. Players can activate the Beyond Colors deck within their in-game account settings under card theme options.

This initiative underscores Mattel163's commitment to inclusivity. With approximately 300 million people worldwide affected by colorblindness (according to the Cleveland Clinic), this update significantly broadens the accessibility of these popular mobile games. Mattel aims for 80% of its game portfolio to be colorblind-accessible by 2025.

For those unfamiliar, Uno! Mobile offers a digital version of the classic card-matching game; Phase 10: World Tour presents a fast-paced phase-completion challenge; and Skip-Bo Mobile provides a unique solitaire-style experience. All three games are available on the App Store and Google Play. Visit Mattel163's official website or Facebook page for more information.
