Warriors: Abyss is a Roguelite Take on the Warriors Franchise, Out Today

Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo unleashes another title, Warriors: Abyss, breathing fresh life into the musou genre. This new roguelite, featuring familiar faces from the Warriors series, is available now.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows players to assemble a squad of iconic characters and decimate hordes of enemies. The isometric perspective evokes the styles of Diablo and Hades, creating a unique blend of action and strategy.

Players will assemble a team to battle demonic forces from "hell," encountering a diverse range of enemies. The trailer showcased characters from across the Warriors franchise, including Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang.

PlayAccording to the PlayStation Blog, characters can be recruited and added to your team, providing additional summoning abilities. Players can utilize up to seven active heroes in battle, with a roster of 100 warriors available at launch.

Koei Tecmo plans to expand the character roster with additions from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors, followed by further waves of characters. The developer hinted at the possibility of including characters from outside the Warriors series in future updates.

Warriors: Abyss is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is slated for February 13, 2025. Players seeking the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
