Warzone Glitch: Old Camos on Black Ops 6 Guns
Summary
- A new glitch in Warzone allows players to use Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) camos on Black Ops 6 (BO6) weapons.
- This glitch requires a friend's assistance and specific steps in a private match of Warzone.
- The glitch is unofficial and may be patched in future updates.
A Call of Duty: Warzone player has discovered an intriguing new glitch that lets users apply camos from 2023's Modern Warfare 3 to weapons from Black Ops 6. This feature, which many players feel should be standard, bridges the gap between the two games, allowing players to showcase their hard-earned camos in Warzone. While MW3 weapons are still usable in Warzone, the meta often shifts towards the newer weapons from Treyarch Studios' Black Ops 6, making those MW3 camos seemingly obsolete.
In Black Ops 6, as with previous Call of Duty titles, players are grinding to unlock epic mastery camos through in-game challenges. These camos, unlike weapon blueprints, are earned through dedication and skill, requiring players to achieve feats like 100 headshots and progressing through gold, diamond, and dark spine to reach the coveted dark matter. For those who have already unlocked these in MW3, the lack of use in Warzone post-BO6 launch is frustrating. However, this new glitch offers a solution.
Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch
Players who have earned the various weapon camos in Modern Warfare 3 can now use them on Black Ops 6 weapons within Warzone, thanks to a glitch discovered by Twitter user BSPGamin and highlighted by Dexerto. This method, while effective, is unofficial, suggesting that developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software may patch it in future updates.
To execute this glitch, players need a friend's help. Here’s how it works:
- Start a Private Match: Boot up a private match in Warzone.
- Equip BO6 Weapon: In the first loadout slot, equip a Black Ops 6 weapon.
- Join a Friend's Lobby: Join your friend's lobby.
- Switch to MW3 Weapon: Equip a Modern Warfare 3 weapon in the first loadout slot.
- Spam Camos: Spam select the MW3 camo you want to apply to the BO6 weapon.
- Host Switches to Private Match: While spamming, the host must switch to a private match.
- Friend Backs Out: Your friend must leave the private match.
- Re-Select Camos: Go back to the weapon and spam select the desired MW3 camo again.
- Friend Re-Enters: Your friend must re-enter a private match.
Once these steps are completed, the MW3 camo should appear on your BO6 weapon.
For those who prefer to stick with BO6 camos but haven't yet unlocked all the mastery camos, there's good news. Treyarch has confirmed they are working on a new challenge tracking feature for Black Ops 6. This feature, which was available in Modern Warfare 3 but missing in BO6, will return in a future update, helping players keep track of their progress towards unlocking those coveted camos.
