FromSoftware's Demon's Souls and Dark Souls ignited a new subgenre: Soulslikes – challenging action-RPGs. This niche has exploded in the past decade, spawning many ambitious titles. 2023 alone saw major releases like Lords of the Fallen, Lies of P, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Xbox Game Pass shines through its diverse game library, catering to a wide range of preferences. Soulslikes are well-represented, even without FromSoftware's original titles. Game Pass offers excellent Soulslike alternatives to Dark Souls and Bloodborne.

Updated January 5, 2025 by Mark Sammut: Will 2025 bring more Soulslikes to Game Pass? It's too early to say definitively, but Wuchang: Fallen Feathers shows promise. In the meantime, subscribers have a wealth of options.
