Defeating Gyalva: A Strategic Approach

Following Guilen's defeat, players encounter Gyalva. The key to victory lies in strategic positioning at either bridge end. Limited movement options and unstable platforms necessitate precise maneuvering. Utilize frequent jumps to reach Gyalva and unleash rapid wind magic attacks for maximum damage output. The Ys series consistently delivers satisfying boss battles, and Gyalva is no exception.

Understanding Gyalva's Attack Patterns

While a remake of Ys 3, Gyalva is a new addition. Although the battle mechanics are straightforward, Gyalva's attacks inflict substantial damage quickly. The boss traverses the bridge, disrupting platforms with fiery assaults. Adequate character upgrades are crucial; aim for Adol reaching at least level 21 before engaging.

Spinning Attacks (Two Variations)

Gyalva employs two spinning attacks:

1. A partial bridge sweep, launching sections into the air. Evade by moving to the unaffected bridge side.
2. A full bridge traversal, flipping all platforms. Seek refuge on either bridge ledge. Avoid the very edge to prevent cornering. Strategically move along the bridge, attacking Gyalva before retreating to a ledge.
