Pokémon GO strategically introduces new Pokémon, often releasing them gradually through events rather than large-scale updates. This phased approach extends to evolution lines, regional variants, and shiny forms. These events usually center around the new Pokémon or a relevant theme, providing players with opportunities to acquire them and earn bonuses.

The Dual Destiny season introduced Fidough and its evolution, Dachsbun, as part of the Fidough Fetch event. This event marked their Pokémon GO debut, allowing Trainers to add them to their Pokédex.

How to Get Fidough & Dachsbun in Pokémon GO

The Fidough Fetch event, running from January 4th to January 8th, 2025, featured Fidough as a wild spawn. Trainers could encounter and catch it. Additionally, Fidough was available through Field Research Tasks and Collection Challenges.

Trading with other Trainers is another option to acquire Fidough or Dachsbun. Online Pokémon GO communities, like Reddit or Discord, are excellent resources for finding reliable trading partners.

Since Dachsbun doesn't appear in the wild, Trainers must either trade for it or evolve a Fidough using 50 Candies. Evolving your strongest Fidough is recommended, as Dachsbun is a capable battler useful in events, PvP, and against NPCs.

Can Fidough & Dachsbun Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?

Currently, shiny Fidough and Dachsbun are unavailable. While their standard forms debuted during the Dual Destiny season, shiny variants were not included. However, future events may introduce shiny versions, as Pokémon GO frequently adds shiny forms to existing Pokémon through events. Until then, Trainers will have to wait and focus on other shiny hunting targets.
