CPU-Z is a free, essential tool for Android users looking to delve deep into their device's specifications. As a mobile counterpart to the renowned PC version, CPU-Z offers an in-depth analysis of your Android device, providing a wealth of information about its hardware.
The application meticulously details your device's System on Chip (SoC), including its name, architecture, and the clock speed of each core. It also offers comprehensive system information such as your device's brand, model, screen resolution, RAM, and storage capacity. For those interested in their battery health, CPU-Z provides data on battery level, status, temperature, and capacity. Additionally, the app reports on the various sensors your device is equipped with.
Requirements and Permissions
To use CPU-Z, your device must run Android 2.2 or higher, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. The app requires the INTERNET permission for its online validation feature, and the ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission for collecting statistics.
Online Validation Feature
Starting from version 1.04, CPU-Z includes an online validation feature that allows you to store your device's hardware specifications in a database. Once validated, the app opens your unique validation URL in your browser. Optionally, you can enter your email to receive a reminder link, making it easy to share or revisit your device's specs.
Settings and Debugging
In the event of an abnormal closure due to a bug, starting with version 1.03, CPU-Z will display a settings screen upon the next launch. This screen allows you to disable certain detection features to troubleshoot and ensure the app runs smoothly.
Bug Reporting
Should you encounter any issues, you can easily report them by navigating to the application menu and selecting "Send Debug Infos," which will email a detailed report to the developers.
