*Atomfall* offers a diverse range of playstyles to match your preferred gaming experience. When you initiate a new save, you'll encounter five distinct playstyle modes:
Sightseer – This "low-pressure mode" is perfect for those who wish to immerse themselves in the story without the stress of intense combat or survival challenges. Exploration, Survival, and Combat are all set to 'Assisted' difficulty, making it an ideal choice for a relaxed playthrough.
Investigator – Ideal for players who enjoy exploring without guidance or HUD assistance, while keeping combat manageable. Exploration is set to 'Challenging' difficulty, Survival to 'Casual', and Combat remains at 'Assisted'.
Brawler – Designed for players who relish combat and are up for a challenge against enemies. Combat is set to 'Challenging' difficulty, while Survival is 'Casual' and Exploration is 'Assisted', offering a more guided experience in other areas.
Survivor – The developer's recommended mode, offering a balanced yet challenging experience across all aspects. Combat, Survival, and Exploration are all set to 'Challenging' difficulty.
Veteran – The most demanding mode, designed for players seeking to test their skills to the utmost. Combat, Survival, and Exploration are all set to 'Intense' difficulty.

If you find your initial choice too easy or too difficult, you can adjust your playstyle without any penalty. Simply pause the game, navigate to 'Options', and under the 'Game' tab, select 'Playstyle'. You can then modify the difficulty of Combat, Survival, and Exploration, which will align you with one of the preset playstyles.
For even more detailed customization, head to 'Advanced Options' to fine-tune various elements within each category.
Which Atomfall Playstyle Should You Start With?

*Atomfall* aims to provide a balanced gameplay experience, allowing players to decide their level of challenge. When selecting from the five default playstyle options, starting with either **Investigator** or **Brawler** could be beneficial. These options allow you to gauge your comfort with the game’s combat and exploration mechanics, and you can adjust your settings as needed.
However, the ultimate customization comes with creating your own playstyle. You can tailor every aspect of the game, from enemy behavior to exploration and trading mechanics, to suit your preferences perfectly.
Importantly, there are no achievements or trophies tied to specific difficulty levels, so feel free to change your playstyle as often as you like without any repercussions.
This covers all the playstyles available in *Atomfall*. For more tips and tricks, be sure to explore our other content, including how to obtain a free Metal Detector early in the game.
