In a recent post on X/Twitter from the official Expedition 33 account, Sandfall Interactive highlighted the emergence of several "suspicious" websites selling Esquie plushies. "To be clear: any third-party websites selling Esquie plushies are NOT officially licensed," the studio stated. They noted that many of these sites use AI-generated artwork for advertising and advised against purchasing from these sources due to the risk of scams.

On a brighter note, Sandfall confirmed its plans to produce official Esquie plushies, aiming to release them as soon as possible. "In the meantime, please be patient — and don’t get scammed!" the studio urged fans.

For those who have played Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the appeal of an Esquie plushie is clear. Introduced in Act 1, Esquie serves not only as a helpful companion but also as a unique mode of overworld travel, reminiscent of Big Hero 6's Baymax.
