Fortnite Meets Monsterverse: Epic Boss Battles with Mechagodzilla and Kong
It's no secret that fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Godzilla skin in Fortnite, set to debut on January 17. However, recent leaks have unveiled a wealth of details about the Monsterverse collaboration, stirring excitement among the game's community.
Epic Games has preemptively released an update that will unlock on January 17, which dataminers have delved into, revealing an array of content. In addition to the standard Godzilla skin available through the battle pass, players can look forward to Mechagodzilla and Kong skins available in a special set from the in-game store. This set will also feature unique jet packs and pickaxes tailored to both the Mechagodzilla and Kong skins, adding an extra layer of customization and flair to the gaming experience.
On January 17, Fortnite will also introduce an exciting new boss event. One lucky player on the map will have the opportunity to transform into an oversized Godzilla, wielding fearsome abilities like atomic breath. The challenge for other players will be to band together and take down this colossal creature. The player who inflicts the most damage on Godzilla throughout the battle will be rewarded with a special medallion that grants a unique in-game ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong set will be available in the Fortnite store at the regular update time, with the following pricing:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1,800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One Emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Set: 2800 V-bucks
Fortnite's collaborations extend beyond cinematic universes to the world of music and art. Rumors are swirling that the popular Vocaloid character, Hatsune Miku, may soon make an appearance in the game. The buzz began when the Hatsune Miku social media account posted about a missing backpack, and the Fortnite Festival account playfully responded, suggesting they had found it. This interaction has led to speculation about an upcoming Hatsune Miku event, which could include a basic Vocaloid skin, a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and even a virtual concert featuring the beloved virtual idol.
