Mark your calendars, racing game aficionados! January 16th, 2025, marks a significant release for driving simulation enthusiasts. Kunos Simulazioni Studios is launching Assetto Corsa EVO into Steam Early Access.

Initially, players will experience the thrill of 20 meticulously detailed cars across 5 iconic tracks: Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, and Suzuka. Despite its Early Access status, the developers guarantee a high level of realism in physics, handling, and car behavior.

A standout feature is the inclusion of a free-roaming mode. A substantial summer 2025 update promises the addition of roads surrounding the legendary Nürburgring. This fully laser-scanned open world will eventually span a massive 1600 square kilometers, expanding gradually over time.

Assetto Corsa EVO boldly positions itself as a premier car simulator, aiming to rival industry titans like Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsport. This is achieved through photorealistic visuals and advanced physics simulations.

The full launch version of Assetto Corsa EVO is projected to feature 100 vehicles and 15 tracks, with further additions planned via free post-launch updates. Each circuit will meticulously recreate real-world conditions, including tire wear, wet surfaces, and animated spectators for an immersive experience.

The developers have also refined the cars' dynamics, focusing on suspension and shock absorption. Early Access will feature the Driving Academy mode, challenging players to complete tracks within time limits to earn a license unlocking access to premium vehicles. This mode is a key single-player component of the Early Access release.
