How to Unlock Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds

Your first encounter with Rompopolo happens in Chapter 2 during Mission 2-1: Toward Fervent Fields. Upon reaching the Oilwell Basin region, Rompopolo will cross your path on the way to Azuz City, and you'll need to defeat it to progress. Once defeated, Rompopolo's entry will appear in your Large Monster Field Guide, allowing you to battle it repeatedly either by exploring Oilwell Basin or starting the "Oilwell Basin Blast" Optional Quest from your Tent.

How to Beat and Capture Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds

To prepare for battling Rompopolo, arm yourself with water-element weapons, which can be obtained from Uth Duna in the Scarlet Forest. Also, equip gear with fire resistance, which you can farm from Uth Duna (initially only the belt and greaves) or Ajarakan later in the chapter.
