Halo Infinite Launches S&D Extraction Mode with Advanced Economic System

Despite being somewhat overshadowed by other titles, Halo Infinite continues to thrive with regular content updates. The latest addition to the game is a new competitive mode called S&D Extraction, which promises to deliver a fresh and strategically deep experience for players.

Drawing inspiration from Valve's Counter-Strike, S&D Extraction introduces its own unique twists. In this mode, two teams of four players each engage in intense battles. One team takes on the role of attackers, tasked with planting a device on a designated point, while the other team defends. After each round, the teams switch roles, keeping the gameplay dynamic. Victory is achieved by winning six rounds, adding a competitive edge to the experience.

A key feature of S&D Extraction is its comprehensive economic system. At the beginning of each round, players can purchase equipment using in-game currency earned through completing objectives. The prices of these items fluctuate based on performance, adding a strategic layer to the mode. All gear disappears at the end of each round, encouraging players to adapt and strategize effectively.

The cost of items is determined by their effectiveness and potential impact within a round. Players can expect cheaper items in the early rounds, with prices increasing for mid-match options, and potentially even more expensive gear towards the end if they manage to save their earnings. Additionally, players have the option to pay for a respawn after being eliminated, providing another tactical choice.

S&D Extraction is set to launch for Halo Infinite in 2025, promising a dynamic and engaging competitive experience that will surely captivate fans of the franchise.
