Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Early game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, especially without suitable weaponry. This guide shows you how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow early and at no cost.

After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map.

The blacksmith's forge is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Leave Troskowitz via the westward road, then follow the path as it curves north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is concealed within.

You'll find a target with arrows; collect these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew on a nearby stump and harvestable mushrooms.

Alternative Acquisition:

While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, the Dogwood Village Bow isn't the most powerful ranged weapon. Considering its proximity to the free bow, purchasing it isn't cost-effective. Vitek does, however, offer superior weaponry, and you can generate income through alchemy.

Having a ranged weapon significantly eases combat, particularly given the game's difficulty settings. Whether you choose the free bow or pursue other weapons, a ranged option proves invaluable.

After acquiring the bow, you can resume the blacksmith quest (saving after forging a sword) or proceed with the miller's questline.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
