Marvel Seeks to Reunite The Defenders

The anticipation is building for the next season of *Daredevil*, and the creative minds behind the series are already pondering future developments, including the possibility of a *Defenders* reunion. In an extensive feature on Entertainment Weekly (EW), Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming and television, expressed enthusiasm about potentially reuniting the street-level heroes: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist, collectively known as The Defenders.

While nothing is officially confirmed yet, Winderbaum shared his excitement with EW, stating, "It's certainly exciting to be able to play in that sandbox... Obviously, we don’t have the unlimited storytelling resources like a comic book, [where] if you can draw it, you can do it. We’re dealing with actors and time and the massive scale of production in order to build a cinematic universe, especially on television."

He further elaborated, "But I can just say that all those variables taken into account, it is certainly something that is creatively extremely exciting and that we are very much exploring."

We already know that *Daredevil: Born Again* will continue the narrative arc established in the Netflix series. Netflix previously hosted its own version of the Marvel universe on a smaller scale with shows like *Jessica Jones*, *Iron Fist*, and *Luke Cage*. Given Winderbaum’s comments, *Daredevil: Born Again* could serve as a springboard to bring these characters back into the fold on Disney's terms through Disney Plus. Notably, the new season will feature Jon Bernthal reprising his role as The Punisher, marking another successful transition from Netflix to Disney Plus.

For now, fans will have to wait and see what unfolds in *Daredevil: Born Again* when it premieres on March 4 before speculating on how Daredevil might integrate into the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
