Mawile Joins Pokémon Sleep Cooking Event
A new Pokémon is quietly joining your research logs in Pokémon Sleep - and this fierce little creature means business. Steel-type Mawile makes its grand entrance alongside the upcoming Packed Portions Cooking Week event kicking off next week.
Mawile Arrives in Pokémon Sleep: Here's When
Beginning June 9th, 2025 at 3:00 PM, Mawile will start appearing through sleep research. Trainers exploring Greengrass Isle, Taupe Hollow, or Old Gold Power Plant should watch for this Pokémon during Slumbering-type sleep sessions.
This dual Steel/Fairy-type Pokémon boasts a special ability called Hyper Cutter (also known as Ingredient Draw S). The skill allows Mawile to randomly collect an ingredient during research - and lucky trainers might even score bonus ingredients.
The same June 9th launch date marks the beginning of Packed Portions Cooking Week Part 1. Running through June 16th, this event puts the spotlight on ingredient-specialized helper Pokémon across all research areas while enhancing cooking mechanics:
- Daily 50% cooking pot expansion (200% on Sundays)
- Pokémon gain +5 Energy from meals
- 1.5x boosted effects for Ingredient Magnet S and Ingredient Draw S skills
- Default 1.5x dish strength (3x for Extra Tasty dishes, 4.5x on Sundays)
- Ingredient specialists collect one additional item per gathering
Training Your Team? Here's a Sweet Deal
A limited-time Mini Candy Boost function will activate during the event. While costing fewer Dream Shards than regular boosts, this option:
- Doubles candy EXP gains
- Uses 4x Dream Shards per candy
Beyond Mawile, several other Pokémon will appear more frequently during research sessions, including starter favorites Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, plus Gastly, Eevee, Dratini, and newer additions like Sprigatito and Fuecoco.
