Nintendo has officially confirmed that the mysterious new button on the Nintendo Switch 2's Joy-Con is indeed the C button, aligning with earlier rumors. This revelation was made through the recently launched Nintendo Today! app, where keen-eyed users spotted the 'C' on the button in the app's promotional images on both the App Store and Google Play.

The new C button was first showcased alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this year, but at that time, the button did not feature any letter. However, subsequent reports had hinted at it being the "C" button, which has now been verified.

Speculation abounds regarding the function of this C button. Some believe it could be related to wirelessly casting the Switch 2 to a TV or facilitating screen sharing.
