This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable new Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.

Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Arrival in Pokémon Sleep

The December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the debut of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. This event boosts your chances of encountering these Pokémon, and Shiny versions will also be available.

Pawmi appears from 3 PM on December 23rd on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Its boosted appearance during the event increases your chances. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all have the "Snoozing" sleep type. While evolution via Candies is possible, studying their sleep patterns requires wild encounters. Snoozing sleep (a light sleep) is the most common and increases your chances of finding them. Balanced sleep also works, but with lower odds.

Alolan Vulpix, also appearing from 3 PM on December 23rd, is rarer, found only on Snowdrop Tundra. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails have the "Slumbering" sleep type, requiring a deep sleep (at least 8 hours) for optimal encounter rates. Balanced sleep offers a smaller chance.

For the best chance at both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, head to Snowdrop Tundra. However, be aware that Snowdrop Tundra has higher team requirements, so prepare your team beforehand.
