Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy - All Power Cells in Misty Island
Navigating Misty Island in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy
Misty Island, a pivotal location in Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, presents a thrilling challenge for players. This guide details how to overcome its obstacles and claim all its rewards. Access to the island is granted after delivering 200 pounds of fish to the fisherman in the Forbidden Jungle, earning a Power Cell and access to the Sandover Village speedboat.
1. The Sculptor's Muse:
Your first task is retrieving the Sculptor's Lost Muse, a golden creature resembling Daxter. Located near the docks, the Muse requires a chase. Utilize roll jumps and strategically destroy large bones to create pathways. Master the Muse's route to intercept it efficiently. Keep this Power Cell for later; there's more to explore on Misty Island.
2. Blue Eco and the Precursor Door:
After the Muse encounter, locate a platforming section with blue eco orbs leading to a Precursor Door. Collect the blue eco, then proceed to the Precursor Platform (see image 3). Activating the platform with a blue eco charge allows you to reach a Power Cell.
3. Dark Eco Pool Arena:
Return to the starting area. The path to another Power Cell involves an arena battle against waves of Lurkers and aerial explosives. Use the Red Eco dropped by Lurkers to your advantage, and remain mobile to avoid the explosives. Upon victory, climb the revealed stairs to the Dark Eco Pool and claim the Power Cell.
4. The Lurker Ship:
Take a right turn after the arena to reach Misty Island's Bay and a Lurker Ship, accessible via a bridge. Climb the ship's right side to reach the top and obtain a Power Cell.
5. Cannon Challenge:
Ascend the ramp, dodging rolling and bouncing logs thrown by Lurkers. Utilize the side platforms for respite. Eliminate the two Lurkers guarding the cannon at the top to earn a Power Cell. Use the cannon to break open metal boxes in the arena for Precursor Orbs.
6. Balloon Lurker Assault:
Use the Zoomer (accessible via a bridge near the Lurker Ship) to eliminate five Balloon Lurkers. Precise use of brakes, acceleration, and jumps is crucial to navigate mines and target the Lurkers. Their predictable flight patterns simplify this task. Defeating them awards a Power Cell.
7. Zoomer Power Cell:
Ride the Zoomer up the ramp (as depicted in image 1), navigate around the rock (image 2), and execute a timed jump to reach a final Power Cell and Precursor Orbs.
8. Scout Flies:
Seven Scout Flies are scattered across Misty Island. The first is accessible by using a seesaw and ground pound to reach a cliff. (See image 1). Two more are located near the arena entrance (see image 2), requiring precise jumping across a crumbling path. Another is found using a seesaw to reach a cliff overlooking the bay. Two are on the Lurker Ship, and the last is near the top of the Zoomer ramp.
After collecting all Power Cells and the Scout Flies, return the Sculptor's Muse to complete your Misty Island adventure.
