The boys are back in town, and we're talking about none other than Stan, Kyle, Kenny, and Cartman. South Park has officially announced the eagerly awaited Season 27, and it appears our favorite Colorado crew will be navigating the current state of affairs, albeit in their uniquely chaotic way.

The beloved animated series unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming season, cleverly tricking the audience into believing it was a sneak peek at a gripping new drama. The trailer's intense editing and ominous music set the stage perfectly... until Randy, Stan’s dad, and his sister Shelley appear. In a hilariously unexpected twist, Randy asks Shelley if she's been taking drugs, suggesting, "Because I think it could really help you," as they sit on her bed with a Wicked movie poster in the background.

South Park Season 27 is set to premiere on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025. Following the initial gag, the trailer shifts back to high-octane action, hinting at several significant (and topical) plot points for the season. Expect to see scenes involving major plane crashes, the Statue of Liberty being toppled, a P. Diddy cameo, and, of course, a conflict with Canada—a staple for longtime fans, especially those who remember the 1999 film South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut.

The teaser confirms that the new season will air on Comedy Central, marking over two years since the conclusion of Season 26. Since then, the series has released three specials: 2023’s South Park: Joining the Panderverse and South Park (Not Suitable For Children), followed by 2024’s South Park: The End of Obesity.
