Star Elliot Page's 'Beyond: Two Souls' Gets TV Treatment
Elliot Page's Pageboy Productions is adapting Quantic Dream's Beyond: Two Souls into a television series.
According to Deadline, Page's production company secured the rights from Quantic Dream. The project, currently in early development, aims to retain the game's nonlinear narrative structure. Further details, including casting and release dates, remain undisclosed.
Page described his experience filming the game as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career, highlighting the story's emotional depth as a strong foundation for the adaptation. He expressed a desire to create a unique interpretation that resonates with both existing fans and new audiences.

Matt Jordan Smitt, Pageboy's head of development and production, emphasized the team's intention to honor the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He underscored the themes of survival and the impact of crucial decisions as central to the narrative.
Originally released for PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later appeared on PlayStation 4 and PC (2015 and 2019, respectively). Directed and written by Quantic Dream's David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities and her connection to a spirit named Aiden. Its nonlinear storytelling and star-studded cast, including Page and Willem Dafoe, were defining features.
Cage confirmed his collaboration with Page on the TV series, although the specifics of his involvement remain unclear. He expressed excitement about the collaboration, praising Page's performance in the game and his suitability to bring the story to a new medium. He believes Page possesses the talent to create a unique television adaptation that captures the essence of Jodie and Aiden's journey.
The Beyond: Two Souls TV series is still some time away. In the interim, IGN's original review of the game can be found here, and all of our Quantic Dream game reviews are available here.
