All Hidden and Secret Achievements in Monster Hunter Wilds

In Monster Hunter Wilds, there are 12 secret achievements waiting to be unlocked. Seven of these are tied to the main storyline, which you'll naturally unlock as you progress through the game. The remaining five are linked to optional objectives, detailed below:

I Caught a Shooting Star!: Caught a creature in the desert that shines like a shooting star. A Prize Held High: Caught a creature that bears an Ancient Wyvern Coin. A Legacy Restored: Obtained an Artian Weapon of Rarity 8. Seasoned Hunter: Hunted 50 Tempered monsters. Top of the Food Chain: Hunted 50 Apex Predators.

Let's dive into the specifics of how to unlock each of these intriguing achievements.

I Caught a Shooting Star!

To unlock this achievement, head to Zone 11 of the Windward Plains at night. Equip yourself with screamer pods and keep an eye out for a Baunos flying near the gathering spots. Use the screamer pods to stun it, then swiftly catch it with your Capture Net.

A Prize Held High

This achievement can be earned on any map, but focus on areas with tight corners and dead ends. Navigate to Zone 6 of the Scarlet Forest and locate the small puddle of water. Use your Capture Net to catch the small golden crab lurking there. Alma's remarks about a creature holding something can be a helpful clue when you're close to your target.

A Legacy Restored

Once you reach High Rank missions, you can start crafting Artian gear. To obtain Rarity 8 weapons and materials, you'll need to hunt Tempered monsters while equipped with Rarity 7 gear.

Seasoned Hunter

Don't mix up Tempered monsters with Frenzied ones; Tempered monsters are highlighted in purple on the minimap, while Frenzied ones are outlined in red. You can start encountering Tempered monsters from Chapter 4 onwards, once you enter High Rank content. Both slaying and capturing them will contribute to this achievement.

Top of the Food Chain

This achievement involves hunting 50 Apex Predators. The following monsters are classified as Apex Predators in the game:

  • Rey
  • Dau
  • Uth
  • Duna
  • Nu
  • Udra
  • Jin
  • Dahaad
