Weekly Challenges: New Game Mode in The Battle of Polytopia
The Battle of Polytopia has recently added a thrilling competitive element with the introduction of Weekly Challenges, offering players a dynamic new way to sharpen their skills in this beloved 4X strategy game. If you’re eager to learn more, keep reading to uncover all the details.
Unpredictability Meets Structure
Previously, the game was known for its heavy reliance on randomness, with diverse enemies, resources, and procedurally generated maps ensuring every session felt fresh and unpredictable. However, the latest free update brings a touch of structure to the chaos.
Each week, all players are given the exact same map, tribe, and gameplay conditions. The challenge? You have just 20 turns to achieve the highest possible score. And here’s the kicker—you can only attempt it once per day, limiting you to a maximum of seven tries per week.
This new feature opens up opportunities to explore tribes you may not yet own. While the game features 16 tribes in total—four included in the base game and an additional 12 available for purchase at $1-$4 each—the Weekly Challenges ensure everyone competes under identical circumstances, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Elevate The Battle of Polytopia?
Absolutely! Alongside the challenges, the new mode introduces a League system where players start in the Entry League. Performance determines your movement: the top third advance, the bottom third descend, while the middle group remains stationary.
Difficulty adjusts dynamically as you climb the ranks. Starting at Easy in the Entry League, you’ll face increasingly tough opponents, culminating in Crazy difficulty bots by the time you reach Gold. If you miss a week, you won’t lose your position, but your rank will adjust based on others’ performances.
