Remedy Aims for European Gaming Supremacy

Remedy Entertainment's ambition is to become a leading force in the gaming industry. Inspired by Naughty Dog, particularly their Uncharted series, Remedy aims to be "Europe's Naughty Dog," according to Alan Wake 2 director Kyle Rowley.

Rowley, in a Behind The Voice podcast interview, explained how this aspiration shaped Quantum Break and subsequently, Alan Wake 2. He explicitly stated their goal: to be the European equivalent of the renowned studio.

This influence is clear in Alan Wake 2's cinematic presentation, praised for its stunning visuals and compelling narrative. The game's success firmly establishes Remedy's position as a top European developer.

Remedy's vision extends beyond the horror genre. Naughty Dog's mastery of cinematic single-player experiences, exemplified by Uncharted and the critically acclaimed The Last of Us (a PlayStation cornerstone and one of history's most awarded franchises), serves as a benchmark.

Alan Wake 2, released over a year ago, continues to receive updates enhancing cross-platform gameplay. A significant addition is a new "Balanced" graphics option optimized for the PS5 Pro, combining elements of the Performance and Quality modes.

These updates also include minor graphical adjustments for smoother framerates and clearer visuals, alongside bug fixes impacting gameplay, particularly within the Lake House expansion.
